This position will involve looking after the properties for one very active, elderly principal who travels extensively and runs his business.
Traveling between London, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland responsibilities will include:
Oversee opening and closing of properties prior to Principal’s or his guests’ arrival and making sure the private residences are kept in a pristine condition
Acting as main contact for the various property managers/caretakers of the private properties ensuring upkeep of the properties are maintained to a high standard.
Maintaining a Household Manual including names of all contractors for the properties
Wine stock control, purchase of wine after approval from Principal
Overseeing/responsible for all general household duties
Ad hoc duties as instructed (i.e. shopping, ensuring fresh flowers on display, purchasing of stationery, picking up dry cleaning etc)
Maintain the household budgets and inventory supplies
Supervising cleaning and gardening staff of the private properties
Cooking of meals as required using fresh, high quality produce
Cooking and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner
Valet the Principal’s wardrobe including laundry
Weekly staff rota (butler/external staff) report to be sent to PA based at Head Office every Friday (detailed schedule showing timings).
Checking/approval of staff’s time sheets and invoices (i.e. ensuring hours worked have been correctly entered and specified with date/time etc). Time sheets for all staff to be checked/approved and sent to Family Office
Responsible for expense reporting for all staff to Family Office
Organising packing and travel preparations. To accompany Principal on his travels worldwide
Chauffeur duties as required
Private cars – ensuring MOT in place, controlling service and insurance, maintenance by yearly service or as required (liaise with Private PA and Family Office)
All arrangements in regards to staff and travel to be reported to Private PA and also to the Family Office
Head Butler to arrange for care of the pet dog (walking etc)
Working 6 days a week [may include weekends]
Accommodation will be provided at all locations either within or adjacent to the main property.
PLEASE NOTE: The Principal is a smoker.
Cooking (to home-cooking standard)
